Millington Officers involved in TBI missing money investigation identified

Millington Police

MILLINGTON, Tenn. — The names of the officers involved in the missing money case at the Millington Police Department have been identified.

Tully Reed was fired from the force, and Charles Coleman will soon be.

Millington Police Chief Frank Tennant has also resigned from his position at the department.

The resignation comes during a TBI investigation into missing money.

In April, the Millington Police received a call from a man who said he was worried about his brother who he had not heard from in several weeks.

When the Officers arrived at the home, they found the man dead and $20,000 in cash in the home.

The money was put in a room at the police department.

When the family came to the Millington Police Department, more than $12,000 was missing.

The TBI told WREG they were asked to step in by the District Attorney’s Office in order to figure out where the missing money went.

However, they wouldn’t go into any details like how much money and who it belonged to.

Tennant has only been chief since July of 2014.
