(Mississippi County, AR) County Court members have decided to spend millions of dollars in local incentives hoping to lure a new steel mill to the area.

Local taxpayers would be on the hook for $14.5 million in improvements to bring the Big River Steel Mill and more than 500 jobs.

One big unanswered question is whether Arkansas lawmakers will approve a $125 million dollar finance package.

Big River plans to put it’s headquarters in Osceola, Arkansas and promises to be a good corporate partner to the community.
