MISSISSIPPI — All drivers license stations across Mississippi have reopened after closing Wednesday while a system outage was solved.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said Wednesday morning the drivers license stations would be closed until further notice. It was announced around 4 p.m. Wednesday that the stations would reopen for the rest of the business day.
Veronica Wilder was one of many people upset about the testing station being shut down. “I’m very frustrated. You see I’m sweating, sitting here, trying to see if they’re going to open back up,” she said.
It was bad timing for parents of high school students who enrolled in drivers education classes.
“I took my daughter out of school, because she was actually coming to get her permit to drive. So that means she’s missed some time in school, and I had to take off work,” parent Valerie Rose Walls said.
The stations will be open during normal hours Thursday.
