SEMINARY, Miss. — Hattiesburg Police Officer BJ Deen was killed in the line of duty in May, and now his daughter has died as well.
His 13-year-old daughter, Melah, died Friday night after suffering from an unspecified virus, according to the Seminary Police Department.
BJ Deen was killed during a traffic stop in Hattiesburg on May 7.
BJ and Melah leave behind wife and mother Robin as well as younger child Walker.
