(Tate County, MS) A former North Mississippi pastor has been sentenced to 30 years in prison plus pay a $51,000 fine for sexual battery of a minor.
Because the case involved a minor, Mississippi law requires Larry Singleton serve 100% of his sentence.
Singleton was indicted by a Tate County Grand Jury in March on 18 felony sex crime counts.
Singleton was charged with two counts of fondling, six counts of sexual battery and 10 counts of child pornography.
Tate County Deputies arrested the 71-year-old in December 2012 after an 18-year-old man told investigators he was forced into a sexual relationship with Singleton when he was 11-years-old.
