UPDATE: As of Tuesday morning, power has been restored to almost all of the homes affected.

MLGW said the outage was triggered when multiple circuit breakers were tripped at three substations.

“Our team reset the equipment and restored power for most customers within an hour and the rest of customers within two hours and 30 minutes,” said MLGW.

They said the final restoration was delayed by a failed circuit breaker, but MLGW crews were able to reroute power around the failed breaker to get customers restored by 10:45 p.m.
