MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It looks like there is more trouble with state testing, as the Tennessee Department of Education confirmed to WREG it is “frustrated” the testing provider, Measurement Inc., cannot provide shipping projections for spring tests.
Districts have received the materials for the high school tests. Materials for grades three through eight are arriving daily, but some districts may not get them until April 27.
The department said it has been asking Measurement Inc. for information on exactly when districts can expect the rest of their materials, but the provider has not given specifics.
The remaining materials include TNReady Math Part II, TNReady English Language Arts Part II, Social Studies Part II and science assessments.
“We understand districts need to plan and prepare for the testing window, and we are extremely frustrated that we are not able to provide specific delivery timelines due to MI’s failure to provide shipping projections,” a spokesman for the department said in a statement.
The original TNReady test window for Part II is April 25-May 6. However, the department advised Measurement Inc. to schedule the testing for grades three through eight through May 10 instead of May 6.
