BARTLETT, Tenn. — The third winter storm in a week made drivers nervous about getting behind the wheel.

WREG talked with people who went to work in the condition earlier, and, surprisingly, some said their commute wasn’t too bad.

Most of the roads looked much better compared to this time last week.

“So far it’s been pretty good, little slick but not as bad as I thought it was going to be,” Eric Hemison said.

This time last week it took Hemison about an hour and a half to drive from his home in Bartlett to his job in downtown Memphis. It was much easier for him to get around this time.

“This is a lot better, we got the roads cleaned today, compared to last Monday, the last week it was a nightmare,” he said.

“I was coming from Perkins going to Marion, Arkansas, and the only thing good about the roads is the interstate,” Brandon Cox said.

Although the the highways were in decent shape, WREG came across an accident that caused delays on I-40 West near the Warford Street exit.

Some of the side streets were icy. Billy Maher and Covington Pike in Bartlett were some of the worst.
