(Memphis) In 2009, Brenda Joiner’s son Courtney Montgomery was shot and killed during a traffic stop.

According to Memphis Police Internal Affairs, Montgomery was pulled over by two officers, one of whom was Officer Terrance Shaw.

Officer Shaw was cleared in that shooting when it was deemed appropriate.

This past week, Shaw reportedly shot and killed a 15-year-old in Memphis after being robbed according to Memphis Police.

Shaw said Montgomery tried to run him over, so he shot him.

But Joiner is still looking for answers, “I didn’t get any. I didn’t get any answers. Didn’t anyone try to talk to us about my son’s situation. We called to get his personal effects and they were real nasty, so I didn’t get any answers.”

For the first time, she is speaking to media after hearing Officer Shaw also shot and killed 15-year-old Justin Thompson earlier this week while off-duty. The TBI is investigating the case as an attempted robbery.

Now she wants answers for herself and for the mother of Justin Thompson.

“We will never be satisfied losing our children, but to try to give us not closure but answers not to make us feel better. We will never feel better with just some answers,” said Joiner.

Joiner also had a message for Justin Thompson’s mom that she hopes to meet one day.

“Everybody is praying for her. I am myself because what kept me sane was prayers people being concerned and stuff. That’s all I can tell her,” said Thompson.
