MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating a shooting that happened at 4672 American Way, outside the O’ciela Bar & Grill.

The shooting happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

A witness told police the club was closing when shots were fired from a light gray Toyota.

“I’m told that the scene was described as literally a war zone,” Jacqueline Towns said. “My child was in the middle of a war zone.”

Twenty-three-year-old Ravyn Towns was shot and transported to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

A second victim was treated at the scene.

“I’m really in shock. I really can’t believe this has happened. I really can’t believe that’s my little girl laying in that bed with gunshot wounds,” Towns said.

Towns told WREG her daughter ran more than 75 feet to get help at a gas station.

A Facebook video captured the graphic moments as Towns waited for medical help to arrive.

“There’s a young lady and a young man in that video who were perfect strangers to Ravyn and they stayed with her to the bitter end. they comforted her,” Towns said.

Ravyn’s family is looking for justice.

“Just turn yourself in and allow us to get some closure and we can resolve this thing amicably and let’s close it,” Tons said.
