MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said officers were called to the scene of a deadly shooting in a North Memphis Wednesday afternoon.
MPD said officers arrived to the 800 block of North Montgomery and found four people sustaining gunshot wounds. Three of the shooting victims were transported to Regional One Hospital, and the other victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Memphis Police added the primary scene is located in the 800 block of Olympic.
Neighbors said they heard gunfire from several different weapons.
Kiara Michelle says the neighborhood is no stranger to violence and often worries about her aunt who lives there.
“I just feel like they need to stop the violence around her house, you know, what’s going on in the neighborhood,” Michelle said, “I feel like she’s okay but then you never know where a bullet could fly.”
