MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police are investigating the shooting that left a former MUS student dead in the Champion Hills Apartments at Windyke.
Eighteen-year-old Frank Gaines Whitington, Jr. was found by Memphis police with a gunshot wound and unresponsive near an SUV.
A witness told police they heard a gunshot coming from the 8900 block of Links Drive East.
Police have said there are witnesses and they do not believe drugs are involved.
