MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man has a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly attacked his work supervisor at the Post Office on 555 South Third St..

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Richard L. Martin, 59, of Tuggle Road.

The warrant is for the charges of aggravated assault and civil rights intimidation.

The victim told police Martin came into her office, screamed racial slurs at her and punched her. He then beat her with a chair.

The victim suffered injuries to her eye, police said. She went to the hospital but is not in critical condition.

Police said Martin has a history of violence in the workplace, but a USPS representative said he has no history of violence at USPS.

Officers and Post Office staff believe he may return to the work place to injure someone or create a disturbance.

His vehicle is a blue 2011 Honda Accord with Tennessee license plate C97-68L.
