MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for a man they believe was kidnapped early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, officers were called to Wooddale around 3 a.m. Sunday and found evidence of an aggravated assault and kidnapping. They believe the kidnapping happened between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. that morning but they haven’t said if they’ve developed any suspects. It’s also unclear who called 911.

WREG spoke with a neighbor who doesn’t want to be identified. She says officers knocked on her door and told her their was a pool of blood at Wynn’s home.

“They just asked if we’d heard anything? If we heard any gunshots? If we’d seen the individual that he was missing,” she said, “I mean, we hear gunshots in the neighborhood all the time but we didn’t hear any that night. My husband and I, neither.”

Police said they couldn’t find Jerimiah Wynn at any local hospitals and family members said they haven’t heard from him.

Another neighbor, who also doesn’t want to be identified, told WREG Wynn lives with several people including his grandma but no one answered the door when we knocked Monday. That neighbor also says she often hears Wynn shouting and believes he has a mental illness.
