MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say no charges will be filed after a woman fatally shot a man at a Whitehaven apartment Sunday night, authorities said Monday.
The man was killed in the shooting at the The Birches apartments on Birch Bend Square around 9:30, and a woman was detained. Police said it was a domestic situation.
Monday morning, police updated their information to say that the woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly attacked her as she was entering the apartment. She fired one shot, killing him.
Two juveniles were in the house at the time, police said.
