MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is facing three counts of aggravated assault after Memphis Police said she shot into a car with her ex-boyfriend, his girlfriend and her child inside.

On August 5, a victim reported that his ex-girlfriend Carla Hamilton assaulted him, his current girlfriend and her nine-year-old son.

Hamilton allegedly pointed a gun at the victim as he was walking to get inside a car driven by his girlfriend. The victim said as his girlfriend was driving away, Hamilton pointed the gun at the car and allegedly fired a shot.

No one was injured.

According to the police report, Hamilton could be seen on video pointing a gun at the victim as he walked to the car.

The victim and his girlfriend were able to identify Hamilton from a photographic display as the person responsible for the assault.
