MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mud Island River park is open again after being closed Tuesday following a robbery.

Benny Linderman of the Riverfront Development Corporation said there are five suspects who broke into the office.

The suspects restrained several employees and took several bags of cash, he said.

They dropped the cash as people who work on the north side of the park tried to stop them, and most, if not all, of the cash was recovered, Linderman said.

A shot was fired during the incident, Linderman and police said.

Linderman said there are no cameras inside the office, but there are cameras on the north side of the park, so the suspects’ vehicle may have been caught on camera.
