MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were killed in a crash on Highway 78 at mile marker 21 in Mississippi Thursday morning. Investigators say 25-year-old Joshua Cunningham lost control of his car,  crossed the median and hit a car driven by Eddie Brunson. Cunningham and his passenger, Crystal McDonald, 27,  were killed. Brunson is being treated at the Regional Medical Center. One person was also killed in Shelby County in a crash on Highway 385. Memphis police responded to 140 crashes Thursday morning. Light ice on roads and light snow in some areas caused numerous issues. Jim Jaggers warned of the chance of frozen precipitation Wednesday at 10 p.m. and there are even better chances Sunday. Traffic on the Hernando DeSoto Bridge and the I-55 bridge continues to crawl. Due to the number of crashes, Shelby County and Memphis Police implemented their inclement weather policies for most of the morning. The policy means those involved in a non-injury crash are to exchange information, then alert police or deputies later. A school bus was involved in a crash at Raleigh Millington Road and Fite Road. At least 20 students were on that bus, officials say no one was injured.
