MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A multi-vehicle crash on the I-40 Bridge shut down all of the westbound lanes late Monday night and sent two people to the hospital.
Officials said the incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. At one point, traffic was backed up from the bridge to Third Street.
Authorities said two people were rushed to a trauma center after that collision.
Several hours later, first responders made the scene of another accident on I-40 between Germantown Parkway and US 64.
Authorities have not said what happened, but said two people were injured.
Traffic is moving again at both locations as of Tuesday morning.
