NEW JERSEY — Two state troopers in New Jersey provided some serious help for a couple in trouble.

They helped deliver the couple’s baby on the side of the Garden State Parkway around 4 a.m. Monday.

Dash cam video from the cruiser captured the tense moments as the baby was being born.

According to the video, the expecting mother and her husband began to make the trip to the hospital, but before they could get there they realized their baby wasn’t in the mood to wait.

They pulled over and called 911.

Troopers Alex Muro and Arnaldo Mateo arrived moments later, finding the mother already in the back seat of the car in labor.

In the video, you could hear both troopers giving the woman directions and encouraging her the entire time.

“One, two, three. Push. There you go, keep going, keep going,” one said.

“Keep going…It’s a girl,” said the other.

The little girl, named Rachel, was born at 4:26 a.m.

Both troopers helped cut the umbilical cord, wrapped her in a jacket, and handed her to the mother.

Mother and baby are said to be doing just fine.
