A New Mexico father is calling his son a hero.
The teen ran inside their burning home to help his disabled dad, who was just seconds away from death.
The family’s mobile home caught fire while Caleb and Billy Bisbee were inside this weekend.]
The father, Billy, almost didn’t make it out because of a condition that left him blind in one eye.
“I knew where I was standing, but I couldn’t figure out where to go,” he said. “So I just started screaming, ‘Somebody’s gotta come help me. Help me. I’m going to die in here.'”
Caleb, the son, said he pulled his father out of a bedroom by the arm.
Billy suffered severe burns to his back, and their home is a total loss.
Caleb and the rest of the family are staying with friends for now.
