New Study Says Women Work More Hours Than Men

(Memphis) We now know who really works harder.

It’s women if you include all of that unpaid work around the home.

A new study finds while men work longer hours at paid jobs, women do a lot more cooking, cleaning and child-rearing.

And when both paid and unpaid work are combined, it’s women who put in the longest hours.

In the U.S., men and women work a nearly equal number of hours, about 50 per week.

But once again, women take much more of the household burden.

They average 33 hours a week at jobs, and more than 17 hours working around the house.
