PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. — There are still no arrests more than two weeks after Jessica Chambers‘ death.

The 19-year-old was fatally lit on fire Saturday, December 6. Investigators say more than 98 percent of her body was burned.

District Attorney John Champion confirmed Tuesday morning there are no updates in the case. The reward for information has increased to $17,800.

He told WREG last week there has been very little “street talk” about this case since day one, although investigators have made contact with everyone they think Jessica might have run into the night she died. Champion has also said investigators are using every tool at their disposal.

If you may know anything that could help investigators, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-2169.

A Union County woman was arrested last week for running a fake fundraiser. Janet Posey is charged with one count attempted false pretense and one count communications fraud. The 39-year-old faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.

Champion has also confirmed gas station worker Ali Alsanai, who has received death threats, is cleared in this case.
