CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A family in North Carolina found something rather unpleasant in their spice cabinet over the weekend.
According to reports, Laura Neff and her husband heard noises coming from their kitchen.
It didn’t take them long to discover the cause.
A 4-foot snake was hanging out of their cabinet, slithering towards a basket of fresh eggs on the counter.
After it finished its breakfast, Neff said the snake descended completely onto the counter and tried to find a dark place to hide.
Not wanting another surprise later on, the family used two brooms to guide the unwelcome house guest out the kitchen window.
“It got in through a hole in our laundry room floor, which is now covered by a VERY heavy concrete block and which will soon be permanently plugged,” Neff wrote when she posted the video on YouTube.
