MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The northbound lanes of Riverside Drive are closed for some time as crews repair the bluff after a mudslide.

The City of Memphis said work will begin promptly at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 11 and continue until April 22.

All northbound traffic will be diverted to the other side of the median resulting in one lane heading in each direction.

Then on April 23, Riverside Drive from Georgia to Union Avenue will be completely closed to traffic.

This is to allow for the completion of the repair to the bluff and for Memphis in May.

The cost of the project is estimated at $195,000.

The work on the bluff should be completed by April 28.

On March 10, Riverside Drive was closed after sections of the bluff washed away due to torrential rainfall.
