MEMPHIS, Tenn. — At least 70 police officers walked out of Thursday’s funeral for Officer Sean Bolton.
They walked out as Memphis Mayor A C Wharton started to speak.
As soon as Mayor Wharton ended his part, and Director Toney Armstrong began speaking they returned to the funeral service.
Later in the program, an officer spoke about how cuts in pay and benefits did not keep Officer Bolton from doing his job.
