OXFORD, Miss. — An Ole Miss student has been kicked out of his fraternity after being caught on camera apparently biting the head off of a hamster.
Brady Eaves, 18, was on Spring Break when the video was shot last week.
In the video, a person appearing to be Eaves, picks up the hamster and bites off its head and throws the body.
Tuesday, William Kneip, president of the Mississippi Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta said Eaves is no longer a member.
“We are very disappointed and disgusted in Brady’s actions. These actions are inconsistent with what we believe as men of Phi Delta Theta and are inconsistent with the creed of the University of Mississippi. This incident was during spring break and is in no way associated with any chapter activity of Phi Delta Theta. Brady has been removed from the fraternity.”
Eaves is the stepson of John Arthur Eaves Jr, Democratic candidate for Mississippi governor in 2007
One report said the hamster, was force-fed vodka and “hot-boxed” with marijuana smoke in its cage before the video was taken.”
