MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An Olive Branch Lieutenant died from injuries he sustained in an ATV accident over the weekend.
The City of Olive Branch said in a release:
It is with great grief and sadness that we share the untimely passing of one of our finest in blue, Lieutenant Ronnie Flanagan who succumbed to injuries he sustained from an ATV accident over the weekend. Lt. Flanagan began his career with the Olive Branch Police Department in 2003 and worked his way up the ranks to Lieutenant in 2014. In addition to numerous training certifications he earned over the years, Lt. Flanagan received several letters from citizens thanking him for going above and beyond; families grieving and him there by their side, and company representatives acknowledging his efforts making sure they were safe.
On April 24, Mayor Ken Adams has ordered that all City of Olive Branch flags will be lowered to half staff in memory of Lt. Flanagan and his family.
Lt. Flanagan’s service will take place on April 24 at First Baptist Church Olive Branch located at 9155 Highland Street.
Visitation will last from noon until 2:00 p.m. and service till begin immediately after.
