MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers about products sold online claiming to prevent or treat the Ebola virus.

The FDA says since the outbreak in West Africa, it’s gotten numerous complaints about such products.

While there are experimental Ebola vaccines and treatments under development, there are currently no FDA-approved vaccines or drugs to prevent or treat Ebola.

The FDA says individuals promoting unapproved and fraudulent products will face action if they don’t remove the false claims.
