(Memphis) WREG couldn’t get answers from anyone at Taylor’s Learning Academy Monday.
We could see workers walking through the facility, holding kids, but no one would come to the door.
We also noticed a bus parked out back and it could be that way for a while.
Police cited driver, Christopher Moore, after flipping a van with four kids inside.
Three of them were not in car seats.
Moore also didn’t have insurance and is facing domestic assault charges from a December 2012 incident.
A Department of Human Services evaluation report done on the same day as the accident, notes “transportation shall be ceased immediately.”
The report also shows Moore’s training had expired and the facility could face disciplinary action.
It’s not the first time Taylor’s has faced questions about transportation problems.
WREG obtained four reports that stem from unannounced visits to the day care after complaints.
A report from December 2012 reveals DHS had to review the transportation policy with the staff after complaints about kids arriving late to school.
There were also complaints about transportation in October and September last year.
We contacted a spokesperson from DHS and are still waiting to get information about any previous disciplinary action taken against the facility.
