News Channel 3 On Your Side Investigator Zaneta Lowe also has some tips on how to save and make sure your do not over spend.

First Zaneta recommends doing your homework.

“Look in your closet, ‘do those clothes still fit?’ If they do, that means you don’t need to buy that pair of pants or that skirt or those shoes.”

She also recommends pulling coupons out of the paper or finding coupons online. Also find out which stores have sales on top of tax free weekend. Zaneta recommends having a plan.

“What you don’t want to do it get overwhelmed with all of the shiny glitzy sale signs plus its tax free…..What happens is when you go in with no plan you end up with more stuff in your shopping cart or in your buggy and less money in your pocket and that’s not what you want,” said Zaneta.

“If you have any old gift cards that you’re kids or you didn’t use, you don’t think about it but that is extra money,” said Zaneta.
