MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a man was critically injured after being shot at a gas station in South Memphis Friday night.

The gunshot victim arrived at the Regional One Medical Center by private vehicle.

Memphis Police said preliminary information indicates the shooting happened at a Valero in the 800 block of E.H . Crump.

The victim was reportedly pumping gas when he was shot.

Police blocked off a large section of Crump at Walnut and placed evidence markers in the street and near the pumps. They have not said if the victim knew who shot him or if surveillance cameras captured the shooting.

Police said the suspect was driving a black four-door car, possibly an Impala.
