BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Blytheville Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and many people injured Saturday night.

Blytheville Police said Adeline King, 19, of Blytheville was killed in the shooting at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police officers and EMS responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Anderson Street.

EMS units transported two victims to the hospital, but police said other victims had already gone to Great River Medical Center.

A fight also erupted at that hospital.

When officers arrived at the hospital, they found 10 additional gunshot victims, as well as a crowd of about 200 people. Police said the scene at the hospital was “chaotic and emotional.”

Four victims were transported to Regional Medical Center in Memphis with gunshot wounds. Six others were treated for minor injuries at Great River Medical Center. All 10 of these victims have been treated and are no longer in the hospital.

Another victim was transported to St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro in stable condition.

All victims were Blytheville residents and their ages ranged from juveniles to 39 years old.

Police said the incident may have spurred from a fight or argument between two young people, one of them being the deceased.

In June, a website ranked Blytheville as the most dangerous city in Arkansas.
