MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were shot, one fatally, Friday afternoon in Hickory Hill, Memphis Police said.
Police responded to the scene in the 6200 block of Kirby Downs around 1:20 p.m., where they found a person who was grazed by a bullet. They found another person who was pronounced deceased on the scene nearby on Lake Arbor Drive.
An investigation found that the victims were walking through a nearby apartment complex, The Woods at Ridgeway, when an unknown person began shooting at them.
Both victims tried to flee on Lake Arbor Drive, where the deceased person eventually collapsed and was later found by police.
There is currently no suspect information available, police said.
