Online Casting Call Launched for New ‘Young Elvis’ in Major Movie

 

The beloved book “Last Train to Memphis” about the early days of the King is in production to become a major motion picture.  Producers are looking for an unknown actor to play the young Elvis Presley.  More recent music biopics have often used well-known leading actors like Jamie Foxx and Joaquin Phoenix to play the title character.

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to play Elvis at around the ages of 18 to 22, head on over to YoungElvisCasting.com. You’ll find instructions on how to submit your audition tape.  Besides acting chops, you’ll also need to be able to sing like the King.

The widely acclaimed 1995 book “Last Train to Memphis” by Peter Guralnik is about the first 24 years of Elvis’ life and is based on hundreds of interviews and nearly ten years of research.
