MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis native and rapper Yo Gotti provided the use of his restaurant and chef at Prive to raise money for scholarships Saturday.

High School senior Star Kimbrow set a goal to raise $30,000 to contribute to the Memphis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Annual Maggie McDowell Scholarship Fund.

The scholarships are awarded to Shelby County students heading to college.

Last year the Delta’s awarded 40 of the $1,000 scholarships to Memphis area high school students.
