Panic at the pump

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Decent-sized lines awaited Reggie Price when he pulled in a Kroger gas station on Stage Road to fill up this morning

“I’ m topping off. I already had some gas.”

He said given how this very gas station ran out of fuel last night; you can never fill up too often.

“This a big old heavy truck. I don`t want to get caught pushing.”

A Kroger spokeswoman confirmed a total of 8 Krogers were without fuel for hours last night, including the one on Byhalia Road in Collierville.

On Tuesday, we spotted a fuel tanker restocking the pumps.

Tennessee is now officially in a state of emergency after a major gas pipeline burst.

We could see more stations run out of gas because of this.

BP told us they expect “sporadic” outages on gas supply terminals.

According to AAA, the average price of gas jumped just two cents since Monday, and they said they don’t expect to see any major increases.
