(Memphis) It was a day to remember the life of Beale Street icon, Thomas “Silky” Sullivan.
The funeral for Sullivan was held Monday followed by a procession down Beale Street, where he spent so much of his time.
The 71-year-old was best known for his bar, Silky O’ Sullivan’s, the goat, the throne he sat on and the beer he loved to drink.
Sullivan died Thursday night after surgery complications, but he will always be remembered as an ambassador for the city of Memphis.
