A broken fence flourished into a decade-long friendship between two women in North Memphis, proving good fences really do make good neighbors.

Linnie Neely and Margaret Morrison have been neighbors since Morrison moved back into her family home to take care of her brother Fredrick. They met after Morrison’s tree fell on Neely’s fence.

Both women are retired and Neely says her friend and neighbor could use some help.
