MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police released pictures and video of the man they say opened fire on a MATA bus Wednesday afternoon.
The images were captured on a bus security camera before the shooting happened.
Passengers said the man started fighting with a guy he knows.
The victim was taken to Regional Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
“[The victim] said, ‘I dare you! I dare you!'” said passenger Xavier Leake. “Then once we pulled up right here, [the suspect] said, ‘Alright I’m going to show you.’ Pow!”
Witnesses said the shooting happened on the bus as they were pulling into the terminal, and the suspect immediately got off.
Police said he was last seen running up Second Street. They canvassed the uptown neighborhood, but he has yet to be found as of Wednesday night.
MATA said there were 12 people on the bus at the time of the shooting.
