MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police confirmed the pedestrian who was critically injured after being hit by a car near the Central Library has died.
The 58-year-old man was hit by a car in the 3000 block of Poplar Wednesday evening.
Police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m.
The male victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver stayed on the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
At 6:25 p.m. MPD responded to a pedestrian crash at 3030 Poplar.
The male victim was xported to ROH in critical condition.
