MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A pedestrian was killed and juvenile injured following a two-car crash on Shelby Drive, police said.
Officers were on the scene in the 3200 block of Shelby Drive around 5 p.m. The pedestrian was pronounced dead.
Several hours later, authorities said a juvenile inside one of those cars was injured by gunfire and transported to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital for treatment. It’s unclear if the gunfire is what led to the crash or if the juvenile was on the way to get help when the crash occurred.
No suspect information was released. Police are investigating.
