CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. — To the shock and awe of his family and friends, a student who uses a wheelchair most of the time got up and walked across the stage at graduation to receive his diploma.
Corey Felski has cerebral palsy and usually must rely on his motorized wheelchair, WNEP reported. But his determination to truly walk at graduation pushed him to practice for a year using a walker for this shining moment.
He kept it a secret from those at his high school as well as his family, and the crowd burst into cheers when he proudly raised his hand in the air with his diploma.
