MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. — A person was airlifted to a Memphis hospital after being shot in the face Monday night, the Marshall County sheriff said.
The shooting happened at a home on Williams Road near Byhalia. A medical helicopter landed on I-22 and took the victim to Regional One in critical condition.
Authorities say they have identified a person of interest but no arrests have been made.
