(Memphis) The rescued kitten known as ‘Piper’ officially has a new family today.
Just over a week ago, the tiny kitten was trapped in a sewage pipe in east Memphis.
The cat’s new owner saw a friend post the story about the stuck kitten and called her husband, who is with Greenway Services, a plumbing company.
Mike Wilson, his team and other volunteers, worked for several hours.
Finally, the kitten was rescued and spent 10 days in a precautionary quarantine at the Humane Society.
Word of the rescue went viral and Piper even has her own Twitter account, @mypipekitty
