MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police have arrested one person and are looking for two others they say targeted one of the city’s credit unions early Friday morning.

Police said 19-year-old Tevias Jackson and another man were caught in the act hitting the ATM at the credit union in the 2600 block of Mt. Moriah Terrace with a hammer and ax.

Jackson was arrested not far from the scene, but the other suspect managed to get away.

Police are also looking for a woman they believe was with the men, and was seen driving away in a tan 2005 Altima.

Jackson is charged with felony vandalism and evading arrest.

Police say the trio didn’t get any cash out of the machine.

The ATM was covered with a tarp by the time customers got to the credit union later Friday morning.
