Local authorities say there is no indication this incident is connected to the highway shootings in our area.
(Yazoo City, MS) WJTV in Yazoo City, MS is reporting a police impersonator there is now in custody.
The station reports a driver being pulled over last night on Highway 149 near Silver City, MS noticed the man did not appear to be an officer.
The driver took off and was chased by the alleged impersonator.
The CBS affiliate reports the driver started shooting through his window opened fire through his window at the police impersonator who took off.
Today, a blue Mercury Marquis, fitting the description was pulled over by Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department.
WJTV reports another incident is also being investigated there that is similar but may involve a different impersonator.
