MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities are searching for answers after a missing Memphis man’s body was discovered this week.
According to police, Cornelius Mackey left his Hickory Wood Cove home last Sunday. The next day his 2009 Chrysler 3LX was located and towed from the I-55 bridge, but there was no sign of the missing man.
On Thursday, WREG learned Mackey’s body was recently discovered five miles south of the I-55 bridge.
How police believe he got there and how he died were not released.
