MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police were called to a shooting Tuesday night in the 4000 block of Jackson Avenue near Wales.
The incident happened at the Valero gas station just after 10:30 p.m. When they got there, they found a victim laying on his back in the parking lot with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and right arm.
He was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
A witness told police he saw the victim standing between a black truck and a black Ford Expedition. The victim was arguing with two men in the black truck when the witness says he heard the men in the truck say something about a gun.
The witness heard four shots fired and the truck and SUV sped off in different directions.
