MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a man’s car was hit by gunfire in downtown Memphis early Monday morning.
According to police, the man was sitting at a light at Beale Street and Danny Thomas Boulevard when a Toyota pulled up beside him and someone got out. The victim took off and that’s when the suspect reportedly opened fire.
The victim was not hit, but his car was, authorities said. The gunfire shattered a window, cutting the victim in the face.
The victim then appears to have driven to a gas station at Lamar and Kimball for help.
